Friday Update

The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host an Employment Fair on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Larc Lane Training Center at 1155 Larc Lane in Toledo.

The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will unveil its redesigned website early next week. The new site, which will be found at www.lucasdd.org, will feature a completely revamped and mobile-friendly look, with more features and functionality for a much improved user experience.

Stress Awareness Month: Stress is a normal part of everyone’s life. Whether good stress or bad stress, people will experience it in different ways. Good stress can help motivate people to prepare and perform better. People under bad stress - especially chronic stress - are more susceptible to health problems, both physical and emotional.

Presenters Jennifer Kinney and Claire Copa will provide an introduction to sensory stimulation / relaxation techniques and discuss benefits for the aging DD population.
