Toledo Adult Autism Tabletop Group game nights

The Toledo Adult Autism Tabletop Group for ages 18 and over meets tonight at 7:30 at the Toledo Game Room, 3001 W. Sylvania Ave, for role-playing night. Bring both your Dungeons and Dragons characters and your Quag characters and the group will decide together which game to play. Please note that the meeting for November 25 is canceled due to the Thanksgiving holiday. December meetings are as follows:

December 2: Role-playing night
December 9: Board game night
December 16: Role-playing night
December 24: Canceled due to Christmas holiday

OSU vs. Michigan Tailgate Nov. 22 at LCBDD

Join the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities as we get ready for the biggest rivalry in college football. Ohio State. Michigan. Say no more! On Nov. 22, we are having a Tailgate Tuesday event at our South Toledo headquarters. All employees, providers, individuals, and families are encouraged to wear their Buckeyes or Wolverines gear and join us on campus at 12:30 p.m. One side of Larc Lane will be Scarlet & Gray and the other side will be all Maize & Blue as we get ready for The Game on Nov. 26. We'll also have music, food trucks, and more! Whether you're "O-H-I-O" or "Go Blue," we hope you'll join us and help spread the word for this fun event! In the event of cold weather, we'll move inside and get even louder!

LCBDD closed to observe Thanksgiving holiday

The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be closed Nov. 24-25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. On-call staff are available 24/7 on our Emergency/After Hours line at 419-380-5100.

LCBDD monthly meeting to be held November 28

The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. The meeting is in person only and open to the public at the Board’s Larc Lane Training Center (use Entrance O) on its South Toledo campus.

Grant Workshop Wednesday on November 30

Tammy Eisenreich, Parent Partner for the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, will be joined by Tom Weisenbach from The Megan Weisenbach Foundation for the November edition of Grant Workshop Wednesday$. The mission of the Megan Weisenbach Foundation is to provide financial assistance to families that have children with special needs to assist with quality of life. Volunteers needed for Christmas toy distribution

The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers to distribute Christmas toys at The Venues, 540 S. St. Clair St., Toledo. There are several shifts to choose from between December 12–15. For more information, contact Laura at laura.henthorn@use.salvationarmy.org or 419.241.1138, ext. 105.

2023 Night to Shine registration now open

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom-like experience for people with special needs ages 14 and over. This event affords guests with a beautiful evening full of fun and excitement, for free! The night includes hair and makeup stations, fancy shoeshines, corsages and boutonnieres, dancing to a live band and a delicious sit-down dinner.
