The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities has promoted Kristin Aemisegger to be its next Director of Service and Support Administration.
Ms. Aemisegger has been at the Board for 12 years, starting as a SSA in 2010 before working her way up to SSA Coordinator and, most recently, SSA Assistant Director.
"I first want to thank all those who took the time to apply and interview for this position," said Interim Superintendent Michele Myerholtz. "We have a lot of great talent at this Board and I'm very excited for the future. I’m confident Kristin will provide excellent leadership for our largest department."
Current SSA Director Julie O'Hair will be retiring at the end of 2022 after 34 years of service to the Board and individuals served. Ms. Aemisegger will assume her Directorship duties on Jan. 3, 2023.
"I am honored and excited to start this new journey," Ms. Aemisegger said. “The SSA department is already an amazing team and I want to help continue to improve the strength of our team. I look forward to continuing to build relationships with all SSAs, Coordinators, Assistant Directors and across the agency. It is important for me to continue to provide quality service to all of the individuals we serve.”
