Monday is Deadline to Submit Comments on Federal Rule

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) posted a notice last month announcing plans to rescind requirements under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The rescission of this rule would negatively impact people with disabilities by eliminating an enforceable federal requirement that facilities built or altered using federal financial assistance be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. It will likely undermine accessibility safeguards for people with disabilities in federally assisted facilities. Click here to submit your comment.
