Mealtime Safety Training

This training is designed for SSAs, providers, provider support staff, and MUI staff to build knowledge of safe mealtime practices for individuals on modified diets. Participants will review strategies to reduce choking risks, follow prescribed diet consistencies, and support safe feeding. The session also focuses on making modified diets more enjoyable by incorporating flavor, variety, and appealing presentation. Practical tips and examples will be shared to help enhance both safety and the overall mealtime experience. By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to support safe, person-centered, and enjoyable meals for those they serve.
