This two-hour, in-person course is designed for provider managers and others who are responsible for financial oversight of client funds, according to: ORC 5123-2-07; The Personal Funds of the Individual Rule (ORC 5123-2-07) describes the standards of accountability for providers who are indicated in the individual’s OISP as being responsible for managing their personal funds. This includes any financial resources, including but not limited to, earned income, unearned income, bank accounts, investment accounts and monies distributed from a trust fund or inheritance.
OUTCOME
Participants will learn how to spot “red flags” that may indicate misuse of funds and there will also be a hands-on activity where these skills will be put into use through conducting a mock review of client finances.
DODD CONTINUING EDUCATION
The course is approved for 2 hours of CEUs for IA (investigatory), EI, SSA and Supt. The training meets the requirements of OAC 5123-2-08 Appendix C Annual and OAC 5123-2-09 Appendix A Annual under Components of Quality Care.
