OADSP TRAINING SERIES-Module #111: Community Living Skills and Supports.

This month’s module focuses on the role of the DSP in ensuring that the individuals they serve are successful at living in and accessing their community.  Participants will learn about the “Success Triangle” and how it can be used to maximize successful community living through Education, Supports and Self-Esteem. Course objectives include: knowing the components of the “Success Triangle”, learning strategies for building confidence and self-esteem, identifying the qualities of an effective teacher and developing a task analysis process for completing common tasks. The training meets the requirements of OAC 5123-2-08 Appendix C Annual and OAC 5123-2-09 Appendix A Annual under Components of Quality Care.
