1. Voters forums scheduled on September 30 and October 1
Every year, Partners for Inclusion, the Toledo-Lucas County Disabilities Commission, the Board of DD, and the Ability Center sponsor forums using a town hall style format to discuss issues and candidates on the local ballot. This year they will be virtual discussions.
On September 30th the discussion will focus on the two countywide levies – Metroparks and Children Services — and the two income tax issues in Toledo. It will be Wednesday, September 30, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. via Zoom and on Facebook.
On October 1, the candidates for County Commissioner, Probate Judge, and Sheriff have been invited to discuss their viewpoints on disabilities issues. Again this discussion will be on Zoom and Facebook.

2. Have you filled out your Census?
September 30 is the deadline to complete your Census. Please do not let this slip by. Census data is used to determine congressional representation and how federal dollars are spent. You can fill out the Census form online at www.mycensus.gov
3. Online sessions discuss why working benefits you
October 6 and 8 online sessions will answer some very important questions if you are working about keeping your SSI/SSDI and your health care benefits? Click here for more information.
4. ARC schedules workshops of protecting crime victims with DD
The Arc of Ohio, the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio Association of County Boards of DD have joined together for this very important Virtual Seminar regarding Ohioans with DD and the Criminal Justice System.

5. Donations made to Special Olympics athletes
Special Olympics Ohio and the Lindy Infante Foundation are joining forces to provide Sport at Home kits to Special Olympics Ohio athletes in various cities. Athletes and their families will be able to pick up bags at no contact, safe, drive through locations. A pick up will take place on Saturday, September 26th in Toledo at Deveaux Junior High School (2620 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43613) from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Special Olympics Ohio is excited to provide this resource to their athletes during this difficult time.
