Hosted by the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities in partnership with Owens Community College, the Assistive Technology Fair & The Big Read Author Visit is a free, public event focused on innovation, accessibility, and community connection.
This full-day experience will feature more than 40 local vendors showcasing assistive technology designed to support independence, communication, mobility, and everyday living. Attendees can explore a wide range of tools and resources, while also taking advantage of educational sessions and opportunities to earn continuing education credits.
Guests are invited to enjoy food trucks on site and participate in a special Big Read Author Visit and book signing with Marian Schembari, author of A Little Less Broken.
Designed for individuals with lived experience, family members, educators, providers, students, and community partners, this event offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and be inspired.
