Celebrate creativity, identity, and powerful storytelling through art at Disabled Women Make History (and Art), an exhibition presented by the Toledo Museum of Art in partnership with the Disability EmpowHer Network.
This inspiring exhibition highlights the work and lived experiences of disabled women and nonbinary artists, offering a platform to share diverse perspectives through visual art. The show will be on display from June 20 through July 31, 2026, in celebration of Disability Pride Month, with an opening reception on June 20.
Artists with disabilities are invited to submit their work for consideration. Thirty artists will be selected for the in-person exhibition, with additional artists featured in a virtual showcase. Selected participants will also receive complimentary access to professional development workshops focused on marketing themselves and their artwork.
