SALUTE is a dynamic self-advocacy group where individuals with developmental disabilities in Lucas County come together to build confidence, share their voices, and connect with one another. Meetings are held in a hybrid format on the second Monday of each month and typically feature engaging guest speakers and light refreshments.
Because March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we will have a discussion about the Rights of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Ohio law recognizes 24 Rights of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities: rights to equal citizenship, privacy, safety and well-being, rights related to lifestyle choices - and others. Come and join the conversation about these rights and learn more.
