OpenSpot Theatre

The University of Toledo’s Disability Studies and Theatre & Film programs partner with OpenSpot Theatre to offer an inclusive acting workshop for adults with developmental disabilities. Participants work alongside University of Toledo students and trained facilitators to build skills in acting, singing, and movement in a supportive, creative environment.

The class emphasizes self-expression, collaboration, and confidence-building, and concludes with an original performance created and performed by the participants. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to explore, create, and have fun.

REGISTER HERE!

When: Thursdays, 5-6:30 PM
Dates: January 15 through April 23 (final performance on April 23)
Where: University of Toledo Center for Performing Arts, Room 1043

There is a suggested class fee, but tuition is pay-what-you-can (even if that’s nothing). No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
