SALUTE is a dynamic self-advocacy group where individuals with developmental disabilities in Lucas County come together to build confidence, share their voices, and connect with one another. Meetings are held in a hybrid format on the second Monday of each month and typically feature engaging guest speakers and light refreshments.

SafeinHome empowers people to live independently in their homes and communities through the use of remote supports staff and assistive technology. During this event, Remote Supports Consultant Heather Leader will share real-world examples and success stories, highlighting technology options that support visitor safety, medication management, kitchen safety, seizure management, community engagement, and more. Attendees will also see live demonstrations of how remote supports work, showing how services promote independence, reinforce decision-making, and respect personal privacy. Questions are encouraged, and participants are invited to join the conversation.
