Inclusive Tree Climbing

Metroparks and the Ability Center of Greater Toledo are partnering to bring you these beginner friendly and inclusive programs that are for everyone! Bring a snack and your sense of adventure. We will have hammocks set up in the treetops, we just need you to climb to get there! Pack your dinner or a book and we will send it up to you so you can chill in the canopy of "Old Faithful" our beloved walnut tree at Oak Openings Preserve Metropark. This event is for adults and youth ages 12+

Meet at Buehner Center Parking Lot. These programs run rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. Please bring a reusable water bottle filled with water. Participants will be using harnesses and climbing ropes to get to the treetops. All equipment is provided.

Fee is $35. Click here to register.

Metroparks Toledo is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Staff can adapt many programs to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate. The track chair and GRIT freedom chair are reserved for this program for participant use. Please tell us about your needs at the time of registration, but no later than 72 business hours prior to the program.
