In honor of Disability Pride month, the 2023 Disabled and Proud Fest welcomes those of all abilities to celebrate the disability experience in Toledo! This all-day event will have fun activities, live music, food trucks, and an all-abilities 3 vs. 3 wheelchair basketball tournament for youth and adults! Disability Pride month recognizes a person's disability as an integral part of their self-identity and the importance of community allyship.
Tournament Details
The tournament will include two leagues. Adults play from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. youth from 1:30 to 5 p.m. All players will play in sports wheelchairs that will be provided before the tournament. The winning teams from tournament play will compete in the Adaptive Sports Ohio All-Star game. All players will receive a voucher for their preferred food truck, water, and an event T-shirt! Anyone with or without a disability can come out and play! We encourage everyone to give wheelchair basketball a try.
