Disabled Women Make History (and Art): A Celebration of Creative Women in the Community

This is the second annual Disabled Women Make History (and Art): A Celebration of Creative Women in the Community event, hosted in partnership between the Toledo Museum of Art and Disability EmpowHer Network. This FREE event commemorates the Supreme Court Olmstead decision and showcases the artwork of local disabled women artists.

The event will also feature disability advocates sharing their stories about community living. You are invited to come celebrate the creativity and resilience of disabled women in our community.

The event will take place in the Glass Pavilion, which is fully accessible with a no-step entrance and accessible restroom facilities. ASL interpretation and CART/live captioning will be provided.

If you have any accessibility needs or concerns, please e-mail Katie Shelley, Toledo Museum of Art’s Conda Family Manager of Access Initiatives, at kshelley@toledomuseum.org.

While admission is free, registration is recommended for the event, to help us better plan for a great experience for all attendees. Click here to register.

Parking is complimentary for attendees of this event. Upon entering the parking lot, guests will receive a parking ticket from the parking kiosk. Please bring the ticket to the event for the parking to be validated.
