DSP Preparatory Curriculum Kickoff

The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities is hosting a 2 week preparatory curriculum for anyone interested in becoming a Direct Support Professional. The course runs daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24 through Nov. 4. This course is a perfect introduction for anyone looking at entry level employment in the Direct Support field serving people with developmental disabilities.

Those 18 years or age with a HS diploma or GED interested in this field can receive this free training and be ready for onboarding with employers of Disability services in 2 weeks. The class is free but space is limited! Those who complete the course and onboarding with a new employer are eligible to receive an $900 sign on bonus after 90 days of active employment.
