This session offers DD professionals a brief, guided overview of the major milestones that shaped Ohio’s Developmental Disabilities system. Through a biographical timeline, our facilitator will highlight key historical shifts, influential legislation, and advocacy movements that moved the system from institutional care to today’s person-centered, community-focused approach. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how past practices inform current services and their role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities today.
This training aligns with Ohio DODD annual training requirements under the category "Components of Quality Care." To register, please e-mail Clerissa Criswell at CCriswell@lucasdd.org
